Overview
This course will impart a hands-on, skill oriented intense curriculum on Indian Cuisine and Culture. The programme will examine the central place of cuisine in Indian culture and society. This course uses practical experiences in cooking to understand the importance of cuisine in cultural practices.
Focus
This course will focus on all aspects of Indian cuisine and food culture including cuisines from all over India, Regional and Sub-Regional Indian Cuisines, Tandoor, Halwai, Indian Breads, Breakfast cookery, Ayurveda & healthy cooking, and volume cookery. Our approach to gastronomy is hands-on and we draw our inspiration from a wide variety of culinary traditions.
Eligibility Criteria
Pass with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University, with minimum 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.
Career Prospects
The student, at the end of this programme, can work in hotels, restaurants, airlines, cruise liners etc. and may also pursue higher studies and research, or start their own entrepreneurial venture.
