CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ratnadeep Bhattacharyya conducts classes in Front Office Operations and Management (theory and practical, as allotted) for first and second year Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM).

    He:

    • Is Faculty-in-charge of Hotel Information System (HIS).
    • Teaches the Fidelio and Opera PMS operations and theory on hotel automation applications.
    • Conducts classes in Managerial Communication for III semester MSc Hospitality and Tourism Management (MSc HTM) and Introduction to Business for the First semester Bachelor of Hotel Management, Travel and Tourism (BHMTT).
    • Is involved in front office related activities, including organising competitions and field trips.

    Administrative Responsibilities

    • Admissions Coordinator of the college, responsible for information dissemination on courses, programs, fees and others.
    • Coordinate the admission tour across various cities in India for conducting GD and interviews. He also conducts creation and posting of Advertising and Publicity materials from the college.
    • Is Faculty-in-charge of Welcomschool Adventure, Nature Awareness and Social Service (WANASS) Club, organises Adventure sports like Scuba Diving, Camping, Rappelling, Water Rafting, Trekking etc. and also encourages students to take part in social activities in and around the campus in association with Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
    • As Faculty-in-charge of Industrial Training Internal being held at attached hotel Fortune Inn Valley View, coordinate students’ training schedules and performance of the training.

Well-executed interactions then lead to satisfied guests, repeat purchases, and company profitability. The purpose of this paper is to develop a customer focused training guideline integrating service-marketing concepts into the front office employee training process.

There are various factors which influence the Interior designing in different locations of a hotel, as well as certain rules and regulations which have to be followed.

The topic perception of front staff towards property management system in five star hotels in Kolkata gives us a brief idea about the different property management system used in different hotels. The features of each of this software and their application at the delivery level. A survey was conducted to compare the features of different property management software used in different hotels. This helps us to collect data on perception of staff members in terms of the property management system used in their hotel. It gives a clear view of which property management software has better tools which have optimum benefits from the customers' point of view as well as from business angle.. The survey also discloses the different advanced features used in different hotels such as energy management, credit card authorisation etc.
