Energy medicine is one of the five domains of “Complementary and Alternative Medicine” (CAM) identified by the National centre for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) in the United States. This article provides an up-to-date review of the efficacy of energy medicine in the management of chronic orofacial pain alone as there is wide availability of traditional successful interventions for acute pain. Dentist should be aware of energy medicine, safety & its effectiveness in the management of chronic orofacial pain.
