Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Bengaluru’s Deputy Registrar Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty said that the role of librarians was crucial during the pandemic, and they accelerated the digital transition of libraries to ensure that everyone has access to knowledge. She was speaking at the National Library Day Celebration organized at MAHE Bengaluru campus, commemorating the birth anniversary of the father of Library Science Padmashri late Dr. S.R. Ranganathan. 

Dr. Usha Shashidhara, Head Librarian, Karnataka Forest Department was the chief guest of the event. Dr . Jagannath Korody, Director, Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Dr . Harish Head MAHE Bengaluru Library, Dr . Eshappa Bandi Chief Librarian MAHE Bengaluru, and faculty and staff of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Bengaluru off-campus centre were present.
