CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. César de Prado is since 2024 an Associate Professor at Manipal Center for European Studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and International Business Management from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and in 2002 he received his PhD in from the European University Institute with a thesis on technological standards. He later researched and/or taught at universities in Sweden, Japan, Spain, Macau, mainland China and Taiwan. He is the author of three books and over sixty academic articles, book chapters and policy papers. He is interested in the intersection between great powers, and the governance in various sectors promoted by middle powers, especially European ones and India, and peripheric areas like Iberoamerica. He also consults at universities, think tanks and development agencies in several European and Asian countries. He can present and discuss in English, Spanish and other languages in academic, policy and media environments.
