Overview
Manipal School of Nursing, established in 1959 as ANM training center and upgraded to a GNM training school in 1961, is the brain child of Padmashri Awardee Dr TMA Pai, to provide education and employment to the local populace. The School celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2009.
Duration:
3 years diploma nursing and midwifery followed by six months internship
Core competancies:
- Basic nursing skills
- Specialty nursing like medical, surgical, orthopedic, ophthalmic, neurological, nephro-uro, cardio and cardiothoracic, oncological, ENT, women and child health and psychiatric nursing in acute and chronic care settings.
