Manipal Centre for Business Practice (MCBP), an academic unit of MAHE is happy to announce a 1 year (12 months) Post Graduate Program in General Management. This course will prepare students to be employed as consultants in the area of managing business in public sector, private sector, for profit, not-for-profit, NGOs and other trust-based organizations.

Course Highlights

One of the highlights of this course is over a period of 2 terms, the participants will have an opportunity to work with a real-life problem with a real company with a real data. The participants play the role of a consultant in that context of the company and use the skills they have learnt in trying to provide an advice to the company. This is a rich learning opportunity. The linkage between the industry and academic learning is an important feature of the course.

Apart from the academic courses, the course will have a 1-week Social Immersion, 2 weeks Industry Immersion and 6 weeks international exposure.

The participants will visit an American University for 6 weeks and take courses in the University which are specifically designed for them. There will be a Certificate of Participation given by that University for the courses learnt there. The participants will have the alumni status of that University. However, no joint degree Certification between MAHE and the foreign University will be awarded.

The course content is a set of courses in General Management, Leadership and Evolution of business in future at the ratio of 60:30:10.

Certification

Upon successful completion of all academic requirements, the participants would receive a One Year Post Graduate Program in General Management from Manipal Centre for Business Practice (MCBP), an Academic unit of MAHE.

The eligibility requirement for this course is a graduate degree in Engineering, Science, Arts, and Commerce with 50% marks. The application process is a formal application, a statement of purpose as to why the candidate wants to join the course and a personal interview.

An ideal participant would have 5 to 7 years of work experience and worked in at least 3 functional departments in an organization.

Course Fee

The fee for the course is Rs. 20 lakhs plus applicable taxes. The fee does not include boarding and lodging. The international travel cost, boarding and lodging, travel and expenses related immersions would be met by the participants.

Employment Prospects

While the participants are encouraged to find their own placement opportunities, MAHE has contracted with an industry partner (SetCONNECT) which will ensure 2 job interviews in multinational companies in locations either in India or abroad.
