The Central Library of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) is located in the heart of the institution and is therefore accessible to students at all times. The three-storey library is fully air- conditioned and occupies a total area of about 70,000 square feet and can accommodate 800 users at a time. The books, journals, magazines and their back volumes, DVDs and all resources are available for the use of faculty and students of the following institutes.

The faculty of Dr T M A Pai Polytechnic can also avail of this facility and other institutes can use the library with the written permission of the Director.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education HAS SOME OF THE BEST LIBRARIES IN ASIA.
There are six major central libraries:

These libraries are accessible to all students of MAHE.
Besides these central libraries, each constituent institute has its own library. There are also department level libraries in all of the institutes, with the latest collection of books, journals, online sources, dissertations etc. for course work and research.
