The KMC Mega Maha Milan 2024

The KMC MegaMahaMilan 2024, organised in New Delhi on November 17, 2024, by the KMC Doctor’s Alumni Association, was a grand gathering of alumni across decades, celebrating the legacy of Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore.

Chief Guests were Dr. Sharath Rao (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Health Sciences, MAHE) and Dr. B. Unnikrishnan (Dean, KMC Mangalore). Their addresses highlighted the vision and advancements of KMC Mangalore and its alumni association. Sri. Madan Lal, the former Indian cricketer, was a special guest at the event.

The KMC Ratan Awards were presented to alumni from different batches for their legendary contributions. Dr. Brig. Surjeet Singh, Dr. Pushpa Demla from the 1955 batch, and Dr. Baljeet Gulati from the 1959 batch were among the most senior alumni who were honoured with the Ratan awards. The UK Mentor Guru Award and NEET PG Achievers Awards recognised alumni for mentoring and academic excellence. Dr. Pankaj Kumar was awarded the KMC Trailblazer Award for Alumni Engagement.

The afternoon sessions featured vibrant cultural performances by alumni, including live music by the alumni. Alumni artists like Dr. Puneet Kalra and Dr. Saksham Dhawan mesmerised the audience with their talents.

The KMC MegaMahaMilan 2024's success was made possible by the efforts of the KMC Doctor’s Alumni Association, the core committee, and the enthusiastic participation of alumni from all corners of the globe.
