    Dr. Suman Chakraborty is working with Department of Commerce, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal as an Associate Professor in the area of finance and accounting. Dr. Chakraborty has obtained his Ph.D. in finance from Utkal University, India in the year 2015. He has more than 22 years of experience in academics, research, academic administration, and corporate training. His teaching and research interests are Corporate finance, Financial markets, Equity Research, Portfolio Management, Business valuation and he has published research papers in international and national journals indexed in Scopus and ABDC. Dr. Chakraborty is also a member in the Implementation of New Education Policy (NEP) and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in the department and MAHE. He is Incharge of Syllabus review committee and also IQAC coordinator.

I have successfully organized with my team members a two-day workshop on the topic “International Financial Reporting System and it’s implication in India – 2015”, while working with Ramaiah University in Bangalore.  I have also regularly organized guest lecturer sessions for Post graduate students. More than 20 post graduate students successfully completed their summer internship research projects, group and individual dissertation under my guidance during 2015 to 2017. I was instrumental in designing vocational skill development program in the area of “Accounting and Logistics” for under-graduate students.
