The MIT workshop is a part of the Mechanical & Manufacturing Engg. Dept., housed in three blocks.
It has the machine shop, foundry & smithy, fitting, carpentry, wood turning, soldering and sheet metal, plumbing and welding sections.
The workshop has a CNC vertical machining centre, Gear hobbing machine , and other machines for use by students of MIT and other constituent institutes.
