Synthesis of new chemical entities and their preclinical evaluation of antidiabetic and antihyperlipidemic drugs belongs to Thaizolidin-4-ones, Analytical and bioanalytical method development and validation for drug substances and drug products
Professional Affiliations & Contributions
Ø Derivatives of Thaizolidin-4-one new drug molecules showed a good antidiabetic and anti hyperlypidemic activity from previous studies. I selected these molecules and synthesized several derivatives of this, characterized by modern spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques. These new chemical entities tested for in-vitro antidiabetic activities. The compounds showed promising activities by in-vitro are tested in animals for antidiabetic and anti hyperlypidemic activity in detail. The works have been well presented in national and international pharmacy conferences. The works also published in indexed, high impact factor international journals like Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry, Chemico-Biological Interactions, Journal of Diabetes and BioMed Research International.
Ø Guided several post graduate students of pharmacy for the analysis of drugs in API, formulation and body fluids by sophisticated instruments like HPLC, HPTLC, LC-MS/MS. Several of these works have presented in in national and international pharmacy conferences. The works also published in indexed, high impact factor national and international journals like Journal of Planar Chromatography, Arzneimittelforschung, INDIAN DRUGS, Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research etc.
Ø Published several research papers in reputed national and international journals with H index of 2.5 and an average impact factor for international journals of 1.350.
Received best research paper award from Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of Inidia in 2014 for research paper published in Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.
