Dr S Eswara Reddy- an alumnus of MCOPS is appointed as Drug Controller General of India

MCOPS is proud of its alumnus, Dr. S. Eswara Reddy being appointed as Drug Controller General of India (DCGI). Dr Reddy obtained his Master’s Degree from the institution in the year 1994.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Reddy was serving as Joint Drug Controller of India, CDSCO, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. He started his career as Drugs Inspector in CDSCO, West Zone, Mumbai in 1998 and has good experience in GMP, GCP, and GLP audits. Later in 2009, he was promoted as an Assistant Drugs Controller of India and elevated to Deputy Drugs Controller of India in 2012. He underwent training from USFDA, KFDA, South Korea and WHO, Geneva. Dr. Reddy was recognized for his vast experience in manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, academics and framing/implementation of drug regulations.
