Manipal Academy of Higher Education Wins Best Website Award at Internet Advertising Competition- 2015

The New Manipal Academy of Higher Education Website has won the Best University Website award at the 2015 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) hosted by the Web Marketing Association.
The Web Marketing Association was founded in Boston in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and corporate web development on the World Wide Web. In 1999, the Association decided to create a new international award program to recognize outstanding online advertising in all of its various forms.
Conceived, designed and created by Manipal Global Education Services and Sapient Nitro - a global marketing and creative agency – the new Manipal Academy of Higher Education website has redefined the standards of an education sector website in India.
Codenamed Project Dhruva, the brief was to use the latest digital technology and design to showcase every facet of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education brand, and bring its philosophy of ‘Inspired learning’ to life.
Built after painstaking content gathering and repurposing, the site captures the vibrancy of campus, guides student to choose the right career, and connects alumni with their alma mater. Within weeks of its launch in late 2014, the new MU website saw over 30- 40 per cent increase in visitors and hits.
Earlier winners of this award include Limkokwing University, Malaysia; the University of Delaware, Newark; Boise State University, a public research institution in Boise, Idaho; Kaplan University, Iowa; Cooper Union College, Manhattan, New York; The Pennsylvania World State Campus and the University College at the University of Denver, among others.
