Summary

 

Manipal Academy of Higher Education endeavors to contribute to the society in the form of quality education and quality health services at an affordable cost. The university has set up medical schools and hospitals at various parts of the country. In addition, the university has several satellite centers/rural health care centers to cater to the needs of the community. Over the years, the efforts of the university have resulted in positive changes in the society with some of the health metrics being best in the country in and around the hospitals associated with MAHE. MAHE has organized more than 170 health awareness programs and health camps in and around its ecosystem and these camps have helped around 24,000 individuals and benefited them to achieve good health and wellbeing goals.

In addition to the regular treatment and preventive health services, MAHE recognizes the importance of active collaborations at global, national and local levels in terms of providing state-of-the-art care as well as to synthesize new evidences based on existing practices. MAHE’s research work has produced more than 3800 research papers in the prime research journals across the globe and contributed significantly towards UN’s SDG of good health and Wellbeing.
