AARAVAM 2022 REPORT

The Kerala student community of MCOPS organized the Onam celebration at MCOPS-AARAVAM 2022, in a grand manner on 21 September 2022. The celebration began with a warm welcome in the form of a beautiful flower carpet ‘Athappookkalam’, at the entrance of the college, arranged by students with their hard work overnight. The program started with ‘Chendamelam’ and the majestic entry of MAVELI, followed by a procession in the college premises. Maveli along with the chief guest Mr. Jose A J, Chief Pharmacist, KMC, were offered a floral welcome by the beautiful girls clad in traditional Kerala saree. This was followed by the inaugural game by the principal Dr C Mallikarjuna Rao and the chief guest Mr. Jose A J by breaking the pot; a game usually frolicked during Onam. During Chendamelam, no one could stop themselves from dancing to the beats. Tug of war involved all the faculty and the students. It was the star event of the evening. The formal events started with lamp lighting, Thiruvathira, address by the Principal and Chief guest, followed by songs and dances by different batches of students. The entire celebration attracted a huge crowd. All students of MCOPS enthusiastically participated in the program and enjoyed it thoroughly. Payasam and Holige were served during the program. The program was coordinated by Mr. Aromal Sunil, PharmD intern with thorough support from faculty members, his peers, and junior batch students.
