Pharma conclave discusses measures to bridge the gap between academia and industry

There is a need to boost training, research and work-integrated learning by promoting collaboration with pharmaceutical industries. At the conclave of pharma majors 2016, faculty members of MCOPS and pharma industry executives addressed issues concerning the industry-academia ties. After much deliberation, the conclave supported the establishment of Centres of Excellence in MCOPS. Industry institute partnership cell tried to place an industry-enabled curriculum in the education system to make students industry ready. The conclave discussed the various ways of reducing the gap between the industry and Institute. Dr H Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor Manipal Academy of Higher Education rendered the inaugural address. Principal, Dr C Mallikarjuna Rao presented the notion of the conclave. Dr M Sreenivasa Reddy, Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks.
