National Seminar On ‘Novel Pharmaceutical Technologies: Challenges and Opportunities’

National Seminar on ‘Novel Pharmaceutical Technologies: Challenges and Opportunities’’ was organized by Indian Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Technologists (IAPST), India in association with Consortium of Manipal Progressive Pharmaceutical Professional Associations of Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education on 15 November, 2015. The seminar was jointly sponsored by Stempeutics Research Pvt. Ltd., Manipal. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp in presence of the chief guest, Dr. Raviraja N Seetharam, Business Executive, Stempeutics and guests of honor; Dr Satish Shenoy, Director-Research (Technical), Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Dr. C. Mallikarjuna Rao, Principal, MCOPS. Dr. N. Udupa, Program Convener and Director-Research (Health Sciences), Manipal Academy of Higher Education welcomed the gathering. In his address, Dr. Raviraja highlighted the challenges faced by the biopharmaceutical industries in developing new drug delivery technologies. Dr Satish Shenoy gave a brief overview of research activities at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The inauguration program was followed by scientific sessions which included guest lectures by Dr. Raviraja NS, Dr. K. L. Bairy, Dr. N. Udupa, Dr Srinivas Mutalik, Dr. Yogendra Nayak, Dr. C Mallikarjuna Rao and Dr. Manthan Janodia. The program was followed by poster session. During the valedictory function, certificates were distributed to the winners of the poster contest and all the participants. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. M.
