Department of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance organized adjunct faculty lecture sessions from 6 to 8 April 2022. The resource person was Dr. Raghunandan H.V. MPharm., Ph.D., Founder & Chief Technical Consultant RC2 Pharma solutions, Mysore, Karnataka. Dr. Sudheer Moorkoth, Professor and Head of the department started the session with a welcome speech. Dr. Raghunandan continued the session with an introduction about himself and spoke about passion and how one should identify a passion. On the first day of the session, Dr. Raghunandan discussed the role of a pharmacist in the pharmaceutical industry, and the importance of basic learning & critical thinking, regulatory compliance, and enforcement. He also gave a brief introduction to labeling and the role of schedule L and D&C Act in labeling. Dr. Raghunandan also spoke about the Left-brain – logic, analysis, idea, facts, math, and training. He emphasized the importance of Data Integrity in the Pharma sector. Certain activities were given to students to understand the depth of knowledge about quality systems. The second day of the session focused on ICH guidelines, Pharmacopoeias, and presentation of cases on out-of-specification and change control. On the third day, students presented customer complaint handling, container closure system, validation, product recall, drug master file, and,   annual product review. The session ended with feedback from students, followed by a photo session. An inspiring and informative session ended well and students were able to take home valuable information on many aspects of the quality system.
