The Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre at MG Road Mangalore is one of the best convention centres in the country. With a surface area of 16730 sq metres and a basement area of 4200 sq metres, it has a seating capacity of 4000.

Conference halls

With 3 well-furnished conference halls and a cafeteria, it is the ideal venue for events.


Auditorium/Function hall

The Nerve Centre of the Convention Centre is situated on the first floor and has a

  • Seating capacity of 1760
  • Diameter of 52 meter
  • 8x9-m centre stage with air-conditioned green rooms
  • Reflected lighting
  • BOSS sound systems for an enhanced acoustic experience.

The auditorium has the largest shell in Asia, four air conditioned double-bedded guest rooms and optical-fibre sky lighting. It is centrally air conditioned and has plush push-back seats and unmatched ambience.


Exhibition hall

The Exhibition Hall on the first floor can accommodate about 750 persons and has a

  • Plinth area of 1400sqm
  • Diameter of 42 meter
  • 163-m outer perimeter wall
  • Additional fire escape route for emergency use.
  • Dining hall and kitchen

The dining hall can accommodate about 750 people.
There is also parking for 400 cars and 200 two wheelers in and around the building with fire hydrant sprinkler system above each car park bay.

Service tax: 14%, Luxury tax: 10% - will be charged extra, wherever applicable (subject to change).

 

Other Charges

  • Electricity: Rs 13/- per unit (subject to change).
  • Generator: Rs 5/- per unit in addition to diesel charge as per market rate.
  • Air-conditioning: Rs 13/- per unit (subject to change).
  • House Keeping/Security/ Miscellaneous: Rs 15000/- (per function, subject to change).
  • Linen: Rs 150/- per room per day (6 AM - 10 PM).
  • Additional rest room other than four allotted with the auditorium: Rs 750/- per room per day.
  • LCD Projector: Rs 500/- per day.
  • LCD Screen: Rs 200/- per day.
  • Water charge: Rs 2000/- per day (subject to change)
  • Hardstand (outside) for cooking: Rs 15,000/- per day, in addition to kitchen.

Terms and conditions

  • Bookings will be done on calendar day basis. i.e. from midnight to midnight
  • No part day bookings will be made.
  • All decorations/shifting of cooking utensils, and cleaning/clearing the premises after the function will have to be done within the booking period. No extra grace time is permitted for such activities.
  • Use of electricity is charged from the time of occupation till vacating the premises will be charged.Activities are strictly restricted only to the areas booked by the party.
  • Vehicles are to be parked only in designated parking areas, i.e, in the basement or behind the Convention Centre.
  • Rs 5000/- have to be deposited by the booking party as security deposit (refundable) in addition to the booking amount. Any breakage/damages etc. will be recovered from this amount.
  • No food will be cooked, fried, heated, grilled etc. in any area inside or outside the building other than the area designated as kitchen.
  • No furniture will be shifted or moved from its existing location without the prior permission of the Administrator of Dr TMA Pai Convention Centre.
  • Final bill to be settled by the party within 24 hours of the function.
  • Liquor shall be served only in conference rooms (During day …. till 3.00 pm, and night till 10.00 pm)

Mode of Payment

 

At the time of booking 25% of rental and 15% of service charge (towards AC, electricity/generator supply, housekeeping and security) along with 14.5% of service tax to be paid.  One month prior to the function, the balance of 75% of rental and 25% of service charge along with 14.5% service tax to be paid, failing which the booking automatically stands cancelled. Excess / additional amount on finalization of account will be refunded/collected accordingly. Final payments be made only through DD drawn in favor of  "MAHE  Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre" payable at Mangalore.  Cheques/cash not accepted.
