Project Neralu is a student ideated, Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH) initiative which focuses on increasing greenery in Udupi District. Project Neralu was initiated and presented on an idea by PSPH students Jupiter Lobo and Rajesh Byndoor to grow saplings(trees), follow up every month, maintain them and continue the same every year for the betterment of the environment and humans and to encourage each and everyone to do the same. The project was kick-started by Dr. Rahul Clare and mentored by Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kamath. This initiative received encouragement and motivation from the Director, all the Faculty, Staff & Students of PSPH and by the MAHE Top Management & all the Constituent Units of MAHE. The Project was inaugurated by Dr. Poornima Baliga, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Health Science, MAHE, Manipal on 14th September 2019.
