The Transdisciplinary Centre for Qualitative Methods (TCQM), Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal organised an Expert Discussion on Wellbeing, Sustainability, and Care from a Planetary Health Perspective on Friday, May 02, 2025, at the Medical Education Room, Second Floor, Library Building, MAHE, Manipal.       

This event was co-organised as part of the Utrecht University 2025 theme ‘Healthy Planet’.

The expert discussion on planetary health focused on:

>climate change and its impact on human health

>socio environmental determinants of health

>policy and community-based approaches

Dr Freston Marc Sirur (Associate Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, Kasturba Medical College [KMC], MAHE, Manipal).

Dr Selim Jahangir (Faculty, DSHI, PSPH, MAHE, Manipal) introduced the resource persons during the occasion, moderated the discussion, panel discussion, question and answer session and delivered the vote of thanks.
