Overview
Department of Radiodiagnosis has expanded over the years and now is equipped with Ultrasound, Color Doppler, Mammogram, MDCT, MRI and DSA a part from conventional Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, and Therapeutic Interventions are also performed in the department. Skilled staff and Senior teachers are part of the department who are committed to quality and academic.

- Angiography and intravascular interventional procedure and MRI related procedures.
Programs for service to society at government hospitals and extensive teaching programs are there. The department has collaboration with the Four Ways Healthcare reporting program in the UK. The department's interventional radiologist provides expert assistance at Manipal group hospitals as and when required.

Academics
Department has been successfully running PG programme for several years. The PG students are guided with a stepladder approach, laying emphasis on basics of Radiology in the 1st year and exposure to pathologies and advanced imaging in the second and 3rd years. Interactive teaching modules, regular seminars, journal clubs, film reading sessions and internal assessment exams are regularly held to expose the students to the gamut of radiology. The PG’s are encouraged to participate in conferences and present papers
The department has the objective of excelling in academic and clinical modules by continual improvement through subspecialisation, internal, external validation and being abreast with recent advances.
Research
Department is actively involved in Research activities from Post graduates. In addition to PG dissertations, many articles have published in High impact Journals
Radiology Museum – PG & UG teaching purpose.
The Undergraduates are taught basic radiology during theory and practical classes with emphasis on common pathologies encountered. The interns are exposed to the conventional and advanced imaging modalities. The department provides 24 x 7 service in the hospital for both diagnosis and therapy. The department is equipped with state of art equipment with trained staff to deliver efficient and quality care. The department works in tandem with other specialties to provide effective tertiary level care.

Research & Publications
The areas of research include cirrhotic cardio myopathy, stem cell therapy in cirrhosis.
