Ex-student of Manipal Engineering College, Manipal and Managing Director of Nagpur based Padgilwar Agro Industries; Shekhar Padgilwar was elected as the director of National Horticulture Board by the Central Agriculture Ministry, Govt. of India. Padgilwar played a major role in the successful conduction of the Public Private Participation symposium in the ICAR Industrial Meet 2010. Earlier, he accompanied Union Minister Shri. Sharad Powar for the International Agriculture Exhibition which took place in Telaviv in 1993. Padgilwar is also the part of the Indian Standard Institute’s (ISI) farm Implements & Machinery Sectional committee. He also participated in International Agri Fair at Bolonga in Italy in 2000. Harvard business school, Boston (USA) had honourd him with a scholarship of 3 lakh in 2008.
