Anti-ragging Poster and Slogan Competition held for Masters of Hotel Management Students
August 16, 2024: In light of the Anti-Ragging Week, a Poster and Slogan Competition was conducted on August 16, 2024, for the students of the Masters of Hotel Management program. The event was organized to raise awareness about the serious ragging issue and promote a safe and inclusive environment within educational institutions. The theme for the competition was "Together Against Ragging."
The primary objective of the competition was to engage students in a creative exercise that would not only showcase their talents but also spread a powerful message against the practice of ragging.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from all students of the Masters of Hotel Management program. 16 students participated in the event, with 4 entries in the poster and slogan category. The event commenced with a brief introduction to the purpose of Anti-Ragging Week and the importance of the theme. This was followed by the display of posters and the presentation of slogans. The vibrant and visually striking posters, each carrying a strong anti-ragging message.
The competition was a resounding success, with students engaging in the cause against ragging. The event not only highlighted the creative talents of the students but also reinforced the message that ragging is a serious offense that has no place in any educational institution. The event concluded with a pledge by all participants and attendees to stand united against ragging and to foster a culture of respect and support within the campus.
The prize winners are:
- 1st Prize: Astha Abhipsa Rout, Sushree Shravani Mangaraj, Harshit Singh and Elizabath George.
- 2nd Prize: Anutej Deshmukh, Priya Periera, Chaithra P and Kaustav Kishor Borah.
