- Conducts regular departmental meetings and also attends institutional and university meetings.
- Establishes and maintains the lines of communication with all involved in the departmental functioning.
- Develops, categorizes and maintains departmental records and reports.
- Assists the administration to implement institutional policies, rules and regulations.
- Writes annual reports about departmental activities.
- Guides postgraduate students for seminars, paper, poster presentation and journal clubs.
- Evaluates university examinations, sets question papers for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Also gives clinical guidance to postgraduate students.
