Profiling microbiome of oral, gut, and vagina of pregnant women during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy and placenta and breast milk microbiome

The study involves cataloging the bacteriome of oral, gut and vagina during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy and bacteriome of placenta and breast milk immediately after giving birth. The study will try to profile composition, abundance, and diversity of bacteria in oral, gut, vagina during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy (32-36 weeks) and profiling of placenta and breast milk bacteriome immediately after birth of healthy Indian pregnant women through culture-based bacteria profiling, high throughput whole 16S rRNA gene sequence and metabolite analyses.
