M. Tech Avionics - Overview

Avionics is a broad branch of study in aeronautical and aerospace engineering. It is still a developing and fast growing field in India and many other countries.

MTech in Avionics is a two years post graduate programme in engineering, designed to explore the in-depth knowledge of avionics, aircraft instrumentations & control, navigation & guidance, UAVs, Software Safety and Security, Embedded system, Communication, Software Simulation, Sensors, Antenna Design, as their core courses and program elective.

At the end of the course, the candidates will have acquired a good understanding of the major airborne avionic functions and systems and will be able to select appropriate technologies and products for a broad range of functional requirements.

M. Tech Avionics - Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

PEO1: Apply modern computational, analytical and simulation tools and the latest techniques to address the challenges faced in avionics including control, communication, embedded aerospace, airborne platform and related aerospace engineering problems.

PEO2: Practice professional ethics, effective communication, work in team of multicultural environments, and contribute to improve and sustain the green environment.

PEO3: Get employed as successful engineers in aerospace, avionics and other relevant engineering streams, become entrepreneurs and pursue higher studies.

M. Tech Avionics - Programme Outcomes (PO)

POs essentially indicate what the students can do from subject-wise knowledge acquired by them during the program. The POs define the professional profile of a graduate of PG Engineering Program

PO1: An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.

PO2: An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.

PO3: Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.

M. Tech Avionics - Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO)

Engineering Graduates will be able to

PSO1:   Comprehend the technological advancements in the usage of modern engineering and design tools to model, analyse and design systems and subsystems of aerospace domain including control, communication, embedded aerospace, signal processing, airborne platform and related aerospace engineering problems.

PSO2:   Ability to apply the concepts and principles learned about the aerospace vehicle dynamics, system engineering, avionics systems and subsystems to develop practical solutions for the multifaceted problems faced in the domain of aerospace, computer, electronics engineering.

PSO3:  Ability to associate the learning from the courses related to research ethics, quality and management, to function as an individual or leader in multidisciplinary teams and project implementations.
