Workshop on awareness of Clinical Chemistry

Department of Biochemistry organised a workshop on ‘Awareness of Clinical Chemistry” on February 1, 2014. Dr Sudhakar Nayak, Associate Dean, KMC Manipal and Director of MCPD welcomed the gathering.
The first talk of the session was on “Introduction to trainee council” by Dr. A. S. Kanagasabapathy Former Prof and Head of Clinical Biochemistry, CMC, Vellore and Member of Trainee Council Advisory Board of Clinical Chemistry. That was followed by an online workshop where the delegates registered on “American Association of Clinical Chemistry” website and were guided through the entire site with ongoing hands-on experience.
After the session there was a small presentation by delegates from Radiometer, Mr Bijesh and Mr Arvind who also sponsored the CME. Dr Ullas Kamath, Dean, MMMC Manipal handed over the certificates of participation to the delegates. The event concluded by a vote of thanks by Mrs Vinutha Bhat, Selection Grade Lecturer, Department of Biochemistry, KMC Manipal.
