Dr Judith explained over the past two decades, the nursing industry in India has seen a significant increase in the number of nursing institutes, reflecting a growing recognition of nurses' vital role in healthcare. However, the sector faces substantial challenges. Policy gaps, lax regulations, and inadequate pay and opportunities drive many nursing professionals to seek employment abroad.
Dr Judith also highlighted that the government is aware of these issues and has initiated several measures to retain nursing talent within the country.
