MAHE Online Hosts First-of-Its-Kind Alumni Meet for Ghanaian Students on African Continent

Manipal, 24th August 2024: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) organised a landmark alumni meet for its online students at Accra, Ghana, on 13th August 2024, making it the first such event held on the African continent. About 20 students who had availed of scholarships provided by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, through the e-VidyaBharati e-ArogyaBharati (eVBAB) Pan African Network Project participated in the event.
Addressing the alumni, Dr. Manojkumar Nagasampige, Director of the Directorate of Online Education at MAHE, emphasised the significant impact of MAHE’s online programs on the professional growth of African students. "MAHE online programs have helped many African aspirants of higher education excel in their careers," he remarked.
The alumni shared their success stories, with Daniel Abotsi, a proud MAHE alumnus, expressing gratitude towards the Government of India and MAHE. "MAHE's online programs have not only helped us secure better jobs but have also led to promotions within our organisations. We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to pursue an online MBA program from MAHE," he said.
This event marks a new chapter in the relationship between MAHE and its African students, reflecting the MAHE’s commitment to providing quality education across borders. MAHE offers scholarships to African youth for pursuing online programs in management and data science. At present, students of 36 countries are pursuing online programs from MAHE.
