Team Robomanipal Clinches First Prize at INNOVISTA TECH TED Challenge 2025

Team Robomanipal from Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) emerged triumphant at the prestigious INNOVISTA TECH TED Challenge 2025, hosted by TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited) in Chennai. The national-level event witnessed participation from over 200 teams across the country, all vying to bring innovative technological solutions to the agricultural sector.
The winning project—a custom-engineered robotic gripper designed for the precise harvesting and storage of seedlings—was lauded for its ingenuity, practical application, and potential to revolutionize modern farming techniques.
Third-year students Pratyush Agrawal and Neil Antony D’Souza developed the prototype under the guidance of Dr. Ishwar Bhiradi from Department of Mechatronics . Their work combined technical sophistication with a strong sense of purpose, addressing real-world agricultural needs with precision and care.
