ThrustMIT started as a small group of rocket enthusiasts with the aim of promoting High-Power-Rocketry in India. The Team intends to take part in the Spaceport America Cup, organized by Experimental Sounding Rocket Association and held in the United States every June. Earlier known as Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition, it is the biggest platform in the world for UG and PG students to showcase their Rocket Engineering skills. With a large participation from the best universities throughout the world and extensive media coverage, it is a huge event thousands of students, researchers and businessmen look forward to. thrustMIT also aspires to spread knowledge, promote, foster and bring about technical innovations in the ingenious field of rocketry. The team has come a long way since its inception, and is constantly working towards perfection.
