About the Area of Study

Radiodiagnosis and Imaging is the branch of medicine that deals with the application of medical imaging technology to arrive at an accurate diagnosis to aid in patient management. It is one of the youngest and most rapidly evolving branches of  Medicine. The field owes its advancement to cutting-edge research and developments in hardware and software.

Radiologists are specialists who view and interpret the images and identify the abnormality to diagnose a disorder/disease entity. In addition to providing a diagnosis, Radiologists also perform image-guided interventions which are minimally invasive therapeutic procedures to treat diseases.

Radiodiagnosis is currently one of the most sought-after specialities as a career option for medical graduates.
