National seminar on Early identification screening and basic management of children with hearing loss
Hearing loss is a hidden disability hence it is a necessity for early identification and intervention, which is managed by audiologists along with the support of special educators who also play an equal and important role. In this regard Dept of speech and Hearing organized 3 days national seminar on ‘Early Identification, Screening and basic Management of Children with Hearing loss from April 16th to 18th 2018. Overall 85 special educator from all over Karnataka participated in the event. The program officially inaugurated by Dr.B.Rajashekhar Dean,SOAHS. This seminar was sponsored and given a CRE status by the rehabilitation council of India (RCI). The three day seminar had interactive sessions from subject experts from the area and area of audiology and psychiatry. Dr. Virupaksha Baliga addressed the group on importance of their role in building relationships, sustaining and also burnout. All the sessions were well received by the participants.
