TheWorld Roentgen Day 2024 was organized by the Department of Medical Imaging Technology with the theme of “Seeing the Unseen” on 5th November 2024 at Smart Classroom, MMMC Ground floor, MCHP, Manipal. Chief Guest for the program was Dr. G. Arun Maiya, Dean of the Manipal College of Health Professions, MAHE, Manipal and Dr. Venkataraja Aithal U, Dr. B Reshmi, and Dr. John M Solomon, the Associate Deans of the Manipal College of Health Professions, MAHE, Manipal  were also present. Also, Dr. Rajagopal K V, Professor and Head, Department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, KMC, Manipal and Dr. Prakashini K, Professor, Department of            Radiodiagnosis and Imaging at KMC, Manipal, whom we truly acknowledge the continuous support  to the Medical Imaging department for fostering a rich learning environment in clinical practice.

Dr. Niranjana S, Professor & Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE was a speaker to give a brief overview of the most talked about and ongoing topics in healthcare—"Role of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Imaging"—a bridge bridging technology and healthcare. Dr. Winniecia Dkhar, Associate Professor and Head of the Department gave a welcome address and Dr. Suresh Sukumar, an Additional Professor, Dept of Medical Imaging Technology was an event Convenor.

This day witnessed several activities from creative minds on innovative presentation/ poster/ scan wars/ Radiology Relic hunt and a Reel Journey on medical imaging in healthcare which touches on recent advancements, emerging technologies and potential future trends, which highlights the profound ways of modern imaging technologies uncover previously hidden aspects of the human body, allowing for earlier diagnosis.

These interactive activities taught important concepts in medical imaging but also promoted teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a fun and immersive way.

Total 126 participants have attended the program. The program received the good feedback from the attendees.
