The Department of Speech and Hearing observes World Hearing Day every year in March. This year, the theme is “Changing mindsets: empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all.” A series of activities have been planned to align with this theme, utilizing mass media in various ways. A newspaper article was submitted addressing the stigma surrounding hearing loss and hearing aids. Dr. Archana delivered a talk on the MAHE Facebook and Instagram pages, focusing on the importance of early identification and intervention for hearing loss. Additionally, students created videos and posters highlighting myths and facts about hearing loss, which were shared across all mass media platforms.
