Adjunct Faculty Lecture Session on "Lucy Letby: A Nightmare Horror"

Dr. Toni Bewley, the Adjunct Faculty of MCON and Senior Teaching Fellow and Program Lead, School of Nursing, EdgeHill UK, deliberated a session on "Lucy Letby: A Nightmare Horror" to 2nd year MSc, 2nd-year PBBSc and MCON Faculty members on 28.09.2023 between 2.00 & 3.00 pm. She narrated the incident of a nurse named Lucy Letby, who was found guilty on August 18, 2023, of the murder of seven babies and attempted murder of six other babies while she worked as a nurse on the neonatal unit of the Countess of Chester Hospital. She further discussed the importance of vigilance and whistleblowing as a Health Carer. She further stressed to the participants to continue striving for excellence in patient care and hold themselves accountable for wrongdoing or malpractice.   

In total, 22 PBBSc, 11 MSc Nursing students from MCON, four students from EdgeHill University UK, and three faculty from MCON participated in the lecture session.
