Global Symposium Series – 3 on Build Back Better: Post Pandemic Opportunities and Innovations
Global Symposium on Collaborative Healthcare Practices & Challenges in Current Times, series-3 was organized by the Team-Expanding Reach and Internationalization, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE Manipal on October 13, 2021, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The invisible organism COVID -19 has caused a tremendous impact on the physical, mental, and social life of every individual. There is no exception for any organization or institution which has not been affected. We have to fight, combat, and resist this situation to revert to normal situations by adapting simple, feasible, and practicable innovative solutions.
The theme for the session was “Build Back Better: Post Pandemic Opportunities and Innovations”. The session was conducted by Dr Dasharathraj K Shetty, Associate Professor, Dept. of Humanities & Management, MIT, MAHE, Manipal. Dr Dasharthraj has ignited the minds of participants with his innovative ideas and explained the difference between ideas and innovation. In his deliberation, he insisted on being empathetic, identifying the needs on a day to day life is essential and also highlighted on 2i and 3i. He gave various examples and demonstrated working models which have caused an impact. He explained the importance of collaboration which can bring successful innovation. The program was utilized by 90 participants and they have actively participated.
Dr Binil V, Associate Professor, Dept. of Mental Health Nursing moderated the session and event management was done by Dr Shashidhara YN, Professor and Head, Dept. of Community Health Nursing. The symposium was coordinated by Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Professor, Dept. of Medical-Surgical Nursing and Team Head, Team-Expanding Reach and Internationalization, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal.
