Global Symposium Series – 9 "Build Global Solidarity for Worldwide Health Security"
Global Symposium Series - 9 on ‘Build Global Solidarity for Worldwide Health Security’ was organized by Team- Expanding Reach and Internationalization, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, on November 5, 2021, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Dr Sohil Khan, Higher Degree Research (HDR) Program Convenor - PhD, MPhil, MMRes, Faculty -Pharmacotherapeutics and Evidence-Based Practice School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, Griffith University, Australia and Dr Sanjay M Pattanshetty, Associate Professor, Department of community medicine, KMC Manipal, MAHE, were the speakers of this virtual symposium.
Dr Sohil Khan highlighted on Global health security in post-COVID 19 world - Challenges, strategies and Indo-Australian perspective. He discussed the various opportunities for internationalization, collaborations and exchange programs and shared information on Indo Pacific center for health security, opportunities for collaborations. Dr Sanjay M Pattanshetty spoke on the solidarity of the research findings and its acceptance in the actual scenario.
Dr Tessy Treesa Jose, Associate Dean and Professor & HOD Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, moderated the session and Mrs Sweety J Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of OBG Nursing managed the event. The symposium was coordinated by Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Professor, Dept. of Medical-Surgical Nursing and pillar Head, Team-Expanding Reach and Internationalization, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal. Sixty-four participants participated in the virtual symposium out of which four were international participants and 60 were national participants.
