Dr. Amit Kumar is specialist in the field of Urban Resilience, Infrastructure Safety & Resilience, Earthquake Engineering. & Management, Structural Assessment, Seismic Retrofitting Hazard, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment, Disaster Resistant Construction, Low Cost Housing. He has vast experience in research and large scale Disaster Risk Reduction project implementation in Asia and Pacific region, mostly in developing and underdeveloped multi-hazard countries like India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Worked with government disaster management focal agencies, UN Agencies, NGOs and community.
