The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of MCODS Mangalore organized a dental awareness and screening camp at the Government School, Bengre, in collaboration with Rotary Club, Mangalore, on 30TH November 2024—the event aimed to promote oral health awareness among school children and provide essential dental screening services.

The camp's theme, "Oral Health: A Mirror to Systemic Health," emphasized the integral connection between oral hygiene and overall well-being. A team of dedicated dental professionals and NSS volunteers screened over 250 students, identifying potential dental issues and offering personalized advice.

An engaging awareness session was conducted to educate the children about the importance of maintaining oral hygiene, proper brushing techniques, and the role of nutrition in dental health. Demonstrations and interactive activities made the session informative and enjoyable for the young audience.

The camp also distributed oral hygiene kits to the students, encouraging them to implement the practices learned during the session. The initiative highlighted the collective effort of MCODS Mangalore and Rotary Club, Mangalore, to make quality dental care accessible to underserved communities.

The event concluded with heartfelt thanks to the school authorities for their support and to the enthusiastic participation of the students, ensuring the camp's success. This initiative reaffirmed NSS MCODS Mangalore’s commitment to creating a healthier and brighter future for the younger generation.
