On the 26th of October 2018 the International Relations Club – Sambandh in collaboration with the Marketing Club – Emporia conducted activities for the first year general MBA students to enhance their skill sets. The International Club headed the activity for Section A students and conducted ‘Hard – Sell’. The activity comprised of the students forming a team of 7 and pitching the product and convincing the panellist to purchase it. The products were selected by the team representative from a cluster of chits. Gautam Vakeri of Second year MBA acted as the panellist for the activity.
There was a total of 6 teams who participated and the products that were pitched enthusiastically are namely; Shower mike, used chocolate wrappers, caffeinated soap, glow in the dark toilet paper, inhalable chocolate and an empty pen refill. The teams were very humours and ardently creative in presenting and convincing the class in buying the above said products. The team pitching the product called glow in the dark toilet paper were the best among all others as they came up with a very creative slogan with a dance step and an extremely humorous advertisement.
In conclusion it was a fun activity enjoyed by all the participants who came up with some convincing ideas for things that have no use in the real world. The participation by the students exceeded 100 percent.
