Poster competition on Adverse Effects of JUNK FOODS

Several research studies have shown that regular consumption of fast foods, processed foods and sugar based drinks have increased obesity, heart diseases, diabetes and other chronic life style diseases among young population in the country. Having concern on these ill effects, the Healthcare Management club of School of Management organized a poster competition on “Adverse effects of JUNK FOOD” on September 27, 2018. The aim of the competition was to create and enhance awareness about the adverse effects of junk food on health among the student community of the institute. The competition was an in-house event. Many student groups from all the three programmes such as MBA, MBA-Healthcare Management and MBA-Global Business have taken part in the competition. Students demonstrated their creative abilities through designing and drawing various posters to strongly communicate the ill effects of junk food among the student fraternity. The faculty of the school Dr. K. Rajasekharan Pillai and Dr. Savitha B. were the judges of this poster competition. The best posters are exhibited in the institute to create and instill awareness about the harmful effects of junk food among the students.
