Ms. Ashwini T, an ICMR Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MAHE, Manipal, presented a poster that was recognized as one of the ‘Top 3’ in the Scientific Poster Presentations at the 2024 SAAFE CRC AMR Solutions Summit, held on 17 & 18 September 2024 in Adelaide, South Australia.
The poster entitled “Broad-Spectrum Antimicrobial Efficacy of Glycosylated Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles Loaded with Selected Carbapenem Against High-Burden Resistant Pathogens”, highlighted innovative research in combating antimicrobial resistance. This research was funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research, India, and was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Usha Y Nayak at the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal, with co-guidance from Dr. Padmaja A. Shenoy at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and Dr. Sanjay Garg at the University of South Australia.
