Women’s day was celebrated on 7th March 2016 at MCOPS. The chief guest for the function was Dr. Monica, Associate Professor, DIPSAR, New Delhi. A week long events comprising rangoli, flower-art etc. were organized, where the participants took part and won the prizes. The judges from the other constituent institutions of Manipal Academy of Higher Education were invited. The prizes were distributed during the program to the winners by the Principal, Dr C Mallikarjuna Rao and Vice Principal, Dr M Sreenivasa Reddy. A presentation on Women’s day was delivered by Mrs. Aswati Hegde. Mrs. Bhavana Bhat and Mrs. Suma Kishore were the master of ceremony. Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Sanchari Basu Mallik. On spot games were organized and cake cutting was done by the chief guest. Various teaching, non-teaching staffs and research scholars witnessed the program.
