Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) hosted "CHROMESHOOT-2024" on 13 & 14 September 2024,  a specialised 2-day workshop focusing on the troubleshooting and maintenance of HPLC and HPTLC systems. The event was organised in association with the Department of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and the Department of Pharmacognosy, drawing expertise and collaboration from both academic and industry sectors.

The inaugural event was graced by prominent research faculty of MAHE Dr Shama Prasad K, Chief Guest and HOD, Cell and Molecular Biology, MSLS, and Advisors Dr Srinivas Mutalik, Principal, Dr Krishnamurthy Bhat, Vice-Principal, Dr Sudheer Moorkoth, HOD of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Dr Richard Lobo, HOD Pharmacognosy, MCOPS.

The workshop was convened by a team of dedicated faculty members with Dr. Muddukrishna BS serving as chief convener, Dr. Vasanthraju S G, Dr. Vasudev Pai, Dr. Gundawar Ravi, Ms Athira Nair and Dr. Tejaswini A. Kalkundri as co-convenors. CHROMESHOOT-2024 workshop served as a crucial platform for professionals and students from the pharmaceutical sciences to enhance their technical skills in chromatography. The event not only addressed routine maintenance but also covered advanced troubleshooting techniques, contributing significantly to the operational proficiency and scientific capabilities of the participants.
