Dr C Mallikarjuna Rao, Principal, along with Dr D Sreedhar and Dr Anoop Kishore had been to Hyderabad to visit a few companies on 29 July 2023. First company to visit was Divis Laboratories situated at Choutuppal, Hyderabad. Divis Laboratories is a leading manufacturer of APIs and intermediates. It was established in the year 1994 by one of the distinguished alumnus of MCOPS, Dr Murali Divi. During the visit, Dr C Mallikarjuna Rao, Dr D Sreedhar and Dr Anoop Kishore had a discussion with Dr Murali Divi. Dr Divi made arrangements to visit the manufacturing unit and narrated his journey. Dr Divi was generous enough to accept the request to institute Divis Laboratories Scholarship for BPharm students. Dr Divi also handed over a few research abstracts saying he would be willing to fund if any of the faculty or students are ready to work in the area of skeletal editing.

Next visit was to Nutra Grace, India’s only and leading manufacturer of Liquid-filled hard gelatin and HPMC. Mr Sunil Gupta, distinguished alumnus of MCOPS demonstrated the cold-pressed pure oil extraction process and also briefed about the distinguished products viz., Grace Breathe Easy, Grace Nigella, Grace Skin, Immuno Grace.

A brief visit to one of the leading manufacturer of ethanol in Hyderabad, established by esteemed alumnus of MCOPS, Mr Mallikarjun. An interaction with yet another distinguished alumnus, Mr Ashok Chandak who established Chandak Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. was over a dinner who recited his journey in Pharma manufacturing.

30 July 2023 : The Hyderabad chapter of the MCOPS Alumni Association organized an alumni meet on 30 July 2023 at Hyderabad (Hotel Daspalla, Jubilee Hills). Over 120 alumni from across India attended the meet. 

Rajaneesh B R, Prabhakara Prabhu, R V Praveen Kumar, Naresh, Shibani Mishra etc., the alumni at HYD, played a major role in organizing the event. Dr C Mallikarjuna Rao (Principal), Dr D Sreedhar and Dr Anoop Kishore attended the program as college representatives.
