Department of Pharmacy Practice felicitates Dr. Ranjan Shetty

Students and teachers of department of pharmacy practice expressed their gratitude towards Dr. Ranjan Shetty, Head and Professor, Department of Cardiology, KMC, Manipal by felicitating him on the eve of his transfer to Manipal Hospital, Bangalore to take up new responsibilities there. Dr. Ranjan Shetty was not only just a mere mentor and motivator for department of pharmacy practice, but is a member of the extended family of pharmacy practice who inspires the students to think beyond the traditional horizon of education and learning; said the student who hosted the felicitation event. Dr. M.K Unnikrishnan, Head and Professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice underlined the constant support and collaborations provided by Dr. Ranjan which not only paved way for a multidisciplinary care for the cardiac patients but also lead to the nurtured learning opportunities for the students. Dr. Mallikarjuna Rao, Principal, MCOPS, Manipal presented the appreciation memento to Dr. Ranjan and emphasized the need for a continued collaborations between the departments even in his physical absence through the use of electronic media. Dr. Ranjan thanked the students and staff of department of pharmacy practice for their support which helped him to climb the ladders of achievements during his tenure in Manipal and requested same to be continued in future too. Ms. Sangeetha, 4th year PharmD, delivered the vote of thanks.
