Dr. Jimmy Jose, Associate Professor (Clinical Pharmacy), College Consultancy and Collaborative Activities Officer, School of Pharmacy, University of Nizwa, Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman delivered a guest talk on “Nocebo effect in medication safety” on 14th September 2022, at 4 pm to 5 pm through Microsoft Teams platform. He is an alumnus of MCOPS. In his talk, he had given insight into the concept of the nocebo effect. In addition, he explained the importance of understanding nocebo effects in pharmacovigilance. He also shared his vast experience in clinical pharmacy education. The event was organized by the Pharmacy Literacy Club (PLC), Centre for Public Health Pharmacy, Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, MCOPS to enhance the learning experience & support students in their academics and extra-academics. PLC is a students’ initiative to provide a platform for capacity building in the best clinical pharmacy practices & research and public health pharmacy services.
